Prayer for More of God

Father God,

You are my God and I come to you in Jesus’ Name. There is a hunger and a thirst in my heart for more of You.  Help me to move out from the shallow, familiar places and into the deeper places in You.  Show me how to move away from the place of less and into the more that You have for me.  Reveal to me the areas in my life that have hindered me from going deeper in You and the changes that I need to make. Teach me how to decrease so that You can increase in me. Jesus said “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” I will walk in your righteousness. I open myself wide to You to be filled with all of your fullness. I thank You and give You all the praise.
